Effective Date: April 15, 2026
At Broward Fingerprinting, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and biometric information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data in compliance with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA) and applicable state and federal standards.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our professional in-office and mobile services, we collect the following:

Biometric Data: Fingerprint images and associated metadata for Live Scan or Ink fingerprinting transmissions.
-
Payment Information: Processed securely via third-party encryption; we do not store full credit card numbers on our local systems.
2. Mobile Service Data Security
For our mobile service operations, we implement additional safeguards:
-
Secure Field Capture: All biometric data and PII collected via mobile devices are encrypted during capture and transmitted over secure, private connections directly to the relevant government agencies (FDLE/FBI).
-
Zero Local Storage: We do not store biometric data on portable mobile devices once a transmission is confirmed.
-
Physical Security: Any physical documents or ink cards handled during a mobile appointment are kept in secure, locked containers until they are either returned to the Client or disposed of via secure shredding.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly for:
-
Service Fulfillment: Processing fingerprint transmissions or completing Notarial acts.
-
Appointment Logistics: Managing mobile technician routing and sending SMS appointment reminders.
-
Legal Compliance: Maintaining mandated Notary Journals and records required by Florida law.
4. Data Retention & Disposal
-
Biometric Data: In accordance with Florida regulations, we do not retain your fingerprints. Once the transmission to the FDLE/FBI is successful, the data is purged from our systems.
-
Record Retention: Personal data associated with notary acts is retained only as long as required by Florida Statutes.
-
Secure Disposal: We utilize professional shredding services for the destruction of any physical PII that is not returned to the Client.
5. SMS & Communications
As outlined in our Terms, by providing your mobile number, you consent to receive service-related text messages. We do not share your mobile data or opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
